PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy is a carefully controlled and regulated profession that used the best available scientific evidence to treat and manage illness and injury. Physiotherapists are expected to maintain their professional knowledge and must provide evidence of that in order to complete their requirements for membership of the CSP (Chartered Society of Physiotherapists)- hypoerlink
Here at Jo Coulter Physiotherapy I aim to use the most up to date research findings to guide my choice of treatment.
I use a wide variety of manual therapy techniques that are chosen to address your unique injury or movement dysfunction.
Techniques may include:
- Joint mobilisation
- Soft tissue release
- Myofascial release
- Muscle Energy Technique
- Manipulation
- Trigger point therapy
- Acupuncture and Dry needling
Most treatment will also include rehabilitation in the form of exercise. We are extremely lucky to have Pilates reformer with tower and various pieces of small equipment. This enables a full range of specific exercise designed to target areas of weakness, tightness or poor motor control.
